Weightless, quiet, and unlike anything else in the album. Underwater portraiture is the work I am asked for by name—dresses moving like smoke, a couple holding on to each other, gravity gone. Very few photographers make these images. It is one of my favorite things to create.

For more than eighteen years, I have photographed the moments people carry with them for the rest of their lives—first looks, quiet glances, unexpected tears, and the joy that moves too quickly.
My approach is documentary and unobtrusive, shaped by a background in fine art and a belief that your experience matters as much as the photographs themselves.
I do not photograph only what a moment looks like. I photograph what it felt like—so when you look back, you can feel it all over again.
Off duty, I am usually being outsmarted by my two pups, Lucy and Snoopy, and a cat named Hope who runs the house. I am the proud mom of a musician and screenwriter—the why behind everything I build. I am a Pisces who needs to be near the ocean, I collect butterflies in every form because they become beautiful on their own terms and are far stronger than they look, and I am fairly certain I lived a past life somewhere in Europe, wandering old churches and galleries. It shows in the work.
